JDB Engineering, Inc. proudly announces that Thomas G. Schubert, PE, recently achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
A LEED professional credential, awarded by the USGBC, signifies an individual is a leader in the field and an active participant in the green building movement. A LEED Green Associate designation indicates an individual has a documented, up-to-date understanding of the most current green building principles and practices.
Thomas G. Schubert, a licensed electrical Professional Engineer (PE), recently completed the exam earning a LEED Green Associate credential. He graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics, and a Minor in Electrical Engineering. With almost 8 years’ experience, his responsibilities with JDB Engineering, Inc. include electrical engineering and design for power, lighting, and low voltage systems.

YORK, Pa. – October 6, 2016 – Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM of York, Pa, was appointed to the board of a directors for a national marketing association, the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). He will serve as Fellows Delegate for a two-year term, which began on September 1, 2016. SMPS is the premier Architecture/Engineering/ Construction marketing and business development association, and its board of directors comprises senior marketing and business development leaders in the industry.
Butcher is vice president and CMO of JDB Engineering, Inc. (JDBE). With more than 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Butcher holds the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation and is a Fellow of SMPS. He is past president of the SMPS Foundation, a national research-based nonprofit organization, and served on the organization’s Board of Trustees for five years. Butcher is the author of fifteen books and writes the Marketropolis blog on the Engineering News-Record website. He has been with JDB Engineering since 1991.

Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM, vice president and chief marketing officer of JDB Engineering, Inc., recently presented to the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Northeast Ohio chapter in Cleveland. His topic was A/E/C Business Development – The Decade Ahead, a presentation he developed for the SMPS Foundation, a non-profit research organization for which he is Past President. Scott has given this presentation more than a dozen times, and he served as co-chair and co-author for the companion book, A/E/C Business Development – The Decade Ahead, which was published by the SMPS Foundation in 2013.
Two JDB Engineering, Inc. executives recently presented at the National Facilities Management & Technology Expo (NFMT). Billed as “America’s No. 1 Facilities Conference & Expo,” NFMT 2016 was held in late March in Baltimore, MD. The conference is hosted by Building Operating Management.
