Northside Commons – Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the new Northside Commons residence hall. The 80,000 sq. ft., five-story residence hall contains 171 units and provides housing for 270 students in single and double bedrooms. The building included common areas and lounges for its residents. Subsequently, JDB Engineering designed a major expansion to this building, although it has not yet been constructed.
Appell Life Sciences Building and Naylor Ecological Sciences Center – New mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as a new central plant to serve five local campus buildings. The three- story building includes spaces for education, biological sciences, and behavioral sciences. Additionally, the scope includes a 12,000 sq. ft. expansion and conversion of an existing maintenance shop to house new biological laboratories and greenhouses.
McKay Building & Nursing School – Renovations and additions, including 15,000 sq. ft. of new offices and laboratories for the two-story building. HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems for new laboratories and classrooms were designed.
Willman Business Center – Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engi- neering for renovations and additions to the School of Business. In total, 22,000 sq. ft. were renovated, with 34,000 sq. ft., five-story addition to house nine new smart classrooms with seating for 40 each, conference rooms, labs for students enrolled in finance and operations management courses, 150-seat lecture hall, and a 200-seat multipurpose room with serving kitchen.
Campus Performing Arts Center / Humanities Building – HVAC, electri- cal, plumbing, and fire protection systems for 120,000 sq. ft. renovation and expansion of the former Wolf Gymnasium and conversion into a new Humanities Building and addition of new performing arts center with 720-seat main theater and 130-seat black box theater and associated spaces including music rooms. Upgrade of central plant serving five campus buildings
MAC Building – New Music, Arts, and Communications Building housing the Art and Music Departments and including a recital hall, art gallery, TV studio, music studio, and art classrooms.
New West Campus Quadrangle – Our scope included HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering and design for the four new multi-story buildings to house more than 800 students, mostly in apartment-style units. Also provided integrated engineering for a new community center that provides a full commercial kitchen, food court, two dining rooms, multi-purpose rooms, meeting space, and a convenience store.
Miller Hall – Renovation of existing art gallery into offices and board room and construction of a new main entry to Miller Hall.
Codorus Hall – Design of new three-story residence hall with thirty-nine rooms.
Susquehanna Apartments – Design of new four-story building. The apartments house four and six students per furnished suite. Total capacity is 104 students.
Manor Hall – 30,000 sq. ft. addition to the four-story Manor Hall dormitory containing 50 rooms for housing 104 students. The project also entailed the design of new electrical and HVAC systems for the entire building.
Campbell Hall – New HVAC system for entire building; new ceiling system and associated lighting system.

New Education Complex – Major new educational building complex, Grantley Hall South and Grantley Hall North, for School of Engineering.
Student Union Building – Re-lighting of dining hall and lounge.
York College Bookstore – Engineering services for renovations to the campus bookstore.
Wolf Hall – Replacement of chiller and cooling tower, relocating the cooling tower outside and replacing both the chiller and tower with an air-cooled chiller.
Eastern University Locker Rooms, St. David’s, Pennsylvania
Gymnasium – Mechanical engineer for an addition and renovations to Eastern University’s Gymnasium. Project included a 39,000 sf two story addition that included varsity teams weight room, athletic training room, two 60-person lockers, officials’ lockers, concession area, laundry, wrestling room, dance room, sports information suite, and office and support spaces.
Athletic Complex – Engineering for the conversion of existing Dance Studio into two locker rooms with provisions for a third in the area of the Training room in the Athletic Complex at Eastern University.
King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Master Plan – Update of King’s College Master Plan including review of existing building MEP infrastructure, utility systems, and technology systems; energy and environmental goals; and sustainability goals for King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, Pennsylvania
Laboratory Renovations – Engineering to renovate the Pharmacology Lab and associated administrative support spaces; major renovation to create cancer research laboratories including Carcinogen Intermediate Syntheses, Chemo-Preventive Synthesis, Radio-Isotype Syntheses, Organoselenium Compound Synthesis, and others; demolition of existing rooms and creation of a large Cellular & Molecular laboratory suite including casework, workstations, counter, telecommunications, and laboratory gasses.

Fenske Laboratory – Engineering for renovations to 10,000 sq. ft. of existing chemical research laboratory facilities performed in three phases to minimize disruption to ongoing research.

Computer/Bookstore Building – New two-story 32,500 sq. ft. facility with computer labs, student vending lounge, 5,000 sq. ft. bookstore, two lecture halls, and faculty offices.
Student Community Center/Lions Den – Renovation of existing dining room, expansion of 3,500 sq. ft., and new 1,400 sq. ft. outdoor dining terrace.
Dallastown Area School District, Dallastown, Pennsylvania
Dallastown High School / Dallastown Middle School – Major $45 million renovation expansion project involving 450,000 sq. ft. of renovated space and 100,000 sq. ft. of new space.
Dallastown Elementary School – Design of data system for 16 classrooms, 118 workstations, one media center, and one computer laboratory.
Ore Valley Elementary School – Design of data system for 40 classrooms, 250 workstations, one media center, and one computer laboratory.
York Township Elementary School – Design of data system for 42 classrooms, 235 workstations, one media center, and two computer laboratories.
Leader’s Heights Elementary School – Design of data system for 14 classrooms, 125 workstations, one media center, and one computer laboratory.
District-Wide – Feasibility study for renovations and additions encompassing all district buildings.
York Country Day School, York, Pennsylvania
STEAM CENTER – Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for 44,000 sq. ft. expansion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Spaces include 400-seat Barshinger Center for the Arts, Brougher Center for Innovation, Digital Arts Workshop, robotics lab, fine arts and ceramics studio, VidCast studio, metal and wood shops, classrooms, common areas, and faculty offices.
