JDB Engineering vice president Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM has been selected to co-present at the annual PSMJ Industry Summit in Orlando, Florida. He will be presenting with William R. Long, PE, LEED AP, FSMPS, vice president of Canuso Jorden. Scott and Bill are the current president-elect and president of the SMPS Foundation, respectively. Their presentation will be “Establishing a Seller-Doer Culture in Your Firm,” and they have previously presented on this topic at the SMPS Heartland Regional Conference in Columbus, OH and SMPS Northeast Regional Conference in Atlantic City, NJ. Much of the content of their presentation is based upon a survey they conducted about how architectural, engineering, and construction firms are incorporating the seller-doer model for business development. Their research findings were also shared in the February, 2014 issue of The Marketer (SMPS) in the article “The Seller-Doer Model: Is it Really Taking Hold – and Is It Working?” Scott is also a contributing writer for PSMJ publications.
